Orion BMS

Battery Management -- it's a beautiful thing...

The Orion BMS is a full featured lithium ion battery management system that is specifically designed to meet the tough requirements of protecting and managing battery packs for electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and hybrid vehicles (HEV) with automotive grade quality.

Andrew Ewart will be our featured speaker this month, and the Orion BMS is his baby. Come to our meeting on February 9th, and you can hear all about this fascinating technology.

Also on the agenda: Captain Kevin Douglass will tell us about the cool new J1772 charging adapter that he'll be using on his conversion.

And last but not least, Peter Koeppen will report on the latest choices made by the "Design an EV" project.

After the meeting, we'll all gather in the parking lot to check out EVs owned and driven by group members.

Regular meetings: Time and place

Time: 6:30PM to 8:30PM on the second Thursday of the month. Our next meeting is on Thursday, February 9th, 2012.
